Why is the campaign so necessary?
The Rehab Center has chosen to launch a $3,000,000 capital campaign to support capital improvements at the facility, purchase necessary
program equipment (physical therapy, occupational therapy, audiology treatment and Progress Industries) and to construct a new facility or
purchase an existing facility for New Beginnings treatment and residential halfway house. From May, 2006 through August, 2006, executives of
The Rehab Center and the trustees along with the Ketchum Consulting Group conducted an in-depth planning and study to determine both
the necessity and feasibility of conducting a successful campaign.

What's included in the project?
The Rehab Center has three interlocking goals for the capital campaign which include:
|
|
|
|
| |
1. |
|
Capital improvements to The Rehab Center's primary location at 270 Sterkel Blvd., Mansfield, OH. |
| |
2. |
|
Program equipment updates (i.e. physical therapy, occupational therapy, audiology diagnostic equipment and Progress Industries) |
| |
3. |
|
The replacement of the existing New Beginning's residential treatment building which currently is located in Mansfield, OH. |
|
How will The Rehab Center raise the money it needs for this project?
Through the campaign, we plan to raise $3 million in outright charitable gifts and pledges that may be paid over one to five years. The campaign,
involving more than 100 community volunteers, will seek the generous support of the community including employees, board members and
other volunteers, friends of The Rehab Center, foundations, community-service organizations and local businesses.
|
I already support The Rehab Center by attending events and/or making annual gifts. Why is an additional gift to the campaign needed?
We greatly appreciate your ongoing support. These gifts help to support our ongoing prevention and treatment programs. Because the need for
our programs and services continues to increase, our annual fund appeals and events will go on as in the past.
|
May I direct my gift to a particular element of the campaign?
Certainly, if there is an element of the project that is of special interest to you, your gift can be directed at a particular element of the campaign.
However, we've found that many of our donors wish to target their gifts to support the overall project.
|
Are there tax advantages for making gifts to the campaign?
Gifts to the Rehab Renewal Campaign are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Those donors who wish to make gifts of appreciated
securities and other personal property may receive signifi cant tax benefi ts as well. We recommend that you discuss specific tax implications with
your financial and/or tax advisor to ensure that your gift offers maximum benefits to you and The Rehab Center.
|
What happens if the full amount is not raised or if the campaign is over-subscribed?
Through the generous giving of its supporters, The Rehab Center is confident that the $3 million goal will be achieved. However, in the event
the full amount is not secured, the board will assess how to use the available funds to implement the project in phases.
Our desire is to raise even more money than what is called for in the campaign. By surpassing the goal, the board can also consider additional
enhancements to The Rehab Center.
