COMMUNITY CELEBRATES GROUNDBREAKING
The community recently joined Rehab Center staff and volunteers in celebration of the new New Beginnings Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center’s ground breaking ceremony on January 26, 2009. The new residential facility is Phase 1 of The Rehab Center’s $3 million Rehab Renewal Capital Campaign to support building a new in-patient treatment center, facility improvements at the main campus and purchasing new program equipment. The new facility, scheduled to open summer 2009, will replace a building that has operated on Sturges Ave. since 1998. The nearly 7,000-square-foot facility will provide alcohol and substance abuse treatment to adult residents. Unlike the current facility, the new structure is designed to include an inpatient room for pregnant women seeking treatment. Furnishings for the 'mother & baby' room are made possible through a grant received from The Women’s Fund at the Richland County Foundation. |
