Psychological Services
Comprehensive psychological testing is available for both
children and adults. All testing is conducted by a Ph.D.-level
Clinical Psychologist.

Individual, Group, and Family Counseling
The Rehab Center's counseling services are available for
children, adolescents, and adults. Services for children and
adolescents are comprehensive and cover a broad range of
cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs. Services for
adults are directed toward those individuals who are adjusting
to physical disabilities and/or are dually diagnosed with
drug/alcohol and mental health issues. All services are based
on a Family Systems Model. Social skills and Anger Management
counseling groups are provided for children and adolescents.
Parenting Classes are also offered several times throughout
the year.

Kinship Navigator Program
The Kinship Navigator Program is a program designed for
individuals in Richland County currently providing kinship
care for children in the family. Kinship care refers to a
temporary or permanent arrangement which a relative or any
non relative adult who has a long standing relationship or bond
with the child and/or family, has taken over the full time,
substitute care of a child whose parents are unable or unwilling
to do so. Services provided include information and referral
for necessary services, assistance with legal issues and
questions regarding custody. A support/educational group is
also provided.

Deaf Services Program (CCD)
The Rehab Center operates a Community Center for the Deaf.
Services include interpreting, case management, sign language
instruction, skill building groups, social activities, and
advocacy groups. Services are available to deaf and
hard-of-hearing children and adults and their family members
in a seven county area.

Gateway Program
Funded by a consortium of Richland County Children serving
agencies, Gateway serves children (and their families) who are
having problems with family/peer relationships. Gateway
receives the referral, conducts an interview and assessment of
the child and family, provides preliminary information the
constellation of services available to the family in the
community, and makes referrals for requisite services as
appropriate. Parenting Skills Training Classes are also
available to assist families in child rearing and in gaining
support from other families in similar situations.
