The Behavioral Health
Division of The Rehab Center has completed another challenging year. The
staff rose to the occasion in true team work fashion and displayed a dedication
and commitment second to none. The strengths of Rehab’s Behavioral Health
programs continue to be the talent and skill of the staff and the family
friendly environment in which the services are offered. Across all
services, feedback from consumers indicated 100% satisfaction with services
provided.
The Behavioral Health
Division includes Deaf Services, the Kinship Navigator Program, the Gateway
Program and the Mental Health counseling and case management programs.
Across all of these programs, a total of 757 individuals received services.
Highlights from each program include the following:
Deaf
Services:
- Provided services to 98 Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals
- Provided 1542 hours of interpreting services and 119 hours of case
management services
- Provided a workshop for approximately 40 individuals regarding changes in
Medicare and Medicare Part D
- In collaboration with AARP offered income tax assistance to members of the
Deaf Community
- Began set-up and implementation of on-line interpreting services.
The Kinship Navigator
Program
- Provided information, education and assistance to 110 kinship caregivers.
- Accompanied consumers to a national rally in Washington D.C.
- Served as advocate for families trying to access community services.
- Actively participated in State Kinship Caregiver Coalition
The Gateway
Program
- Provided services to 72 individuals.
- Participated in Mansfield City School’s Teen Screen Program
- Participated in Richland County’s Youth and Family Council Care Management
Meetings
- Implemented a Medication Process for students of Mansfield Senior High
School
Mental Health
Services
- Obtained a 3 year re-certification from the Ohio Department of Mental
Health
- Provided diagnostic assessments to 291 individuals; provided individual
counseling to 288 individuals; provided group counseling to 26 individuals;
and provided case management services to 34 individuals. Fifty-six
percent of those served of were children and youth 18 years of age and
younger.
- Achieved an average length of stay of 3.6 months and an average time from
first contact to first scheduled appointment of 13.2 days.
- Expanded Triple P parenting services
- Offered Parenting Classes to 63 individuals
- Provided services to individuals residing in all of Richland county’s 30
census tracts.
A very special thank you
must be extended to the Behavioral staff , Admissions staff and Business staff
for all their efforts in providing these services in a effective and efficient
manner. It is truly a team effort with each person making a valuable
contribution. A very special thank you is also extended to the
Rehab Center’s Board of Trustees for their continued support and dedication to
The Rehab Center. We are truly grateful to all of you for your many
