Advocacy and Accessibility

Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing (HH) individuals needing access to any community service or agency can request advocacy services. These services include but are not limited to written information about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and bridging the gap between hearing people and deaf culture.

Accessibility to services and information can be difficult for Deaf/HH individuals. Through advocacy and support, our staff will assist communication between hearing merchants/providers and Deaf/HH consumers.

Advocay and Accessibility provides public information on the requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act, regarding what accommodations may be necessary to provide effective communication for Deaf/HH persons, why specific accommodations may be necessary, and how effective communication can be successfully achieved.
