Deaf Awareness

Agencies may wish to schedule staff in-services to present information about Deaf Awareness and effective communication. Written information as well as seminars can be requested to assist organizations and school systems with serving or increasing services to the Deaf population. The Center/Rehab Center offers free weekly sign language/culture classes for family/friends of Deaf.

• Provides Deaf Awareness presentations on the basics of how Deaf/Hard of Hearing persons communicate, cultural differences,
  and family dynamics
